Spring mini-sessions – Nat {Cary child photographer}

April 9, 2012  by Kristi Kruse

I spent Saturday morning with sweet Nat, her parents and nana.  Mom has been wanting to get some pictures of Nat and Nana for a while now. We finally got to meet up, however Nat was more in an exploring mood than a picture taking mood. Sounds like my typical 2 year old session =)  We walked through the gardens exploring the flowers and rocks and tried to capture a few memories along the way.

Smelling the flowers =)

Daddy was the only one to get some loving on Saturday

Spring mini-sessions – The “B” family {Raleigh child and family photographer}

April 8, 2012  by Kristi Kruse

I met the “B” family Saturday morning over at the WRAL gardens in Raleigh. The weather finally was cooperative and my streak of little ones wanting to explore instead of take pictures continued =)  Sweet little “A” walked us through the garden taking in all the flowers and sights. When we got her to stop and give me and take a moment for a picture she greeted me with a big “CHEESE”, and then we would continue on exploring.  Thanks for coming all the way to Raleigh “B” family, I hope it worth the trip!

Spring mini-sessions – {Fort Bragg Child Photographer}

April 6, 2012  by Kristi Kruse

Last time I saw Connor he was just 3 months old! He’s changed a lot since then, but one thing that hasn’t changed are those huge blue eyes of his. He’s walking, or shall I say running now so needless to say this session was a lot more work to try and get his attention. I think we did a pretty good job though thanks to mom, dad and “bama”. It was so nice to see you all again!

Front page with the Triangle Children’s Resource Guide

April 2, 2012  by Kristi Kruse

I wanted to share with you a local guide for Triangle parents: Triangle Children’s Resource Guide (TCRG).  You might recognize the sweet photo on the front, it’s one of mine from a session I did last May.  It now gets to grace the cover of TCRG for the month of April.

                                                                                                                   *

Triangle Children’s Resource Guide is run by Michelle Fish.  When I asked Michelle how TCRG got started, here’s what she had to tell me:

“Before becoming a mom of five I was a paramedic and after having my second child realized I couldn’t keep those hours anymore. My husband and I purchased Kid to Kid in Cary in 2007 because I fell in love with the concept of selling your used baby items.  As a small business owner I saw a need for a simple to the point advertising outlet for kid friendly and mom based businesses that didn’t cost a fortune.  As a mom I saw the need for a resource of fun and different things to do. I also wanted to have a kids eat cheap section to of course save a little when we go out to eat with all those kiddos. I also organize the Holly Springs Mommies Meet up group and the moms are always looking for something to do with and without the kids. So it just made since. My biggest challenge so far is working from home with the little kids, and of course them not understanding deadlines. Having to stop and look at everything every five seconds and making a simple phone call with out the receiver hearing my children yelling 🙂

The difference between our guide and others out there is that we are not crammed with articles and the one or two that we do have are about our community or state and usually activity related. This guide is by moms for moms from our writers to our distributors I try to find moms that have a genuine interest in the guide and community awareness. This guide will not tell you how to calm your crying baby or keep your teen out of trouble but it will give you some great ideas on things like where to find a fun track out camp, some great places to pick strawberries and things to do everyday of the week. It’s also small enough to fit in your purse.”
Here’s just a little glimpse at what you can find inside, be sure to stop by your local Triangle kid-friendly locations to pick up your own copy and see what else is awaiting inside!
April is Strawberry month here in North Carolina. The guide provides you with a list of local pick-your-own farms as well as some general information about strawberries:

It also features all the places “Kids Eat Cheap” in and around the Triangle.

It also is a great resource for local business owners and other “mompreneurs” to do a little advertising since your target audience “us moms” are the ones reading the magazine.  Great opportunity to network and expand your business.

So head on over to their website http://www.childrensresourceguide.com and facebook page https://www.facebook.com/childrensresourceguide and check it out for yourself.

Jackon – 6 months {Cary child photographer}

April 2, 2012  by Kristi Kruse

I got to spend today with one of my favorite families. Mom and dad were my very first maternity session and I’ve enjoyed every session since then. Jackson is now 6 months old, and boy is he ADORABLE! He was full of smiles for me today and much easier to put in a basket than he was during his newborn pictures =) Moms, you need to lock up your daughters because he is going to be a ladies man. It was so nice to see you all again, I cannot believe how big Jackson has gotten. I can’t wait to see him again at his 1 year shoot!
