This session has been a long time coming! We had to cancel 3 times due to rain this spring. I knew if we didn’t get the session in soon little Ms. “A” was going to be walking and I’d have a whole different kind of session having to chase her around. Luckily we lucked out with some nice weather today and everyone was in good spirits. This family makes my job so easy as they have 3 absolutely beautiful girls. They are all growing so fast it actually made me a chuckle a few times today. I wasn’t expecting some of the comments that I heard and it made me realize just how fast little ones grow up. I had fun catching up with this family today and appreciate all the smiles and cooperation they offered up. Special thanks to mom who worked just as hard as me and was probably almost as sweaty as I was.
Meet baby Carson. His mom was in the hospital for his session, so Grandma was kind enough to bring Carson to see me. Hopefully these pictures will help cheer mom up. Carson must have known that his mom was a little stressed, because he was an absolute angel for his session. He posed like a champ. Mom had sent along a few items to personalize his session – and I loved how they turned out! Special thanks to Grandma for going above and beyond to make sure the session happened and thanks to Mom and Dad for trusting me with your sweet baby boy!
This precious baby boy came to see me today. He’s the 2nd boy in my 2 week long boy streak here at KKP. He was every bit the perfect model for me and I had fun with his session. His Mom and Dad own Wine & Design in Wake Forest so I had to try incorporate art somehow, without being too cheesy. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out =) His nursery is also teddy bear and blocks themed so it was the perfect opportunity to use this little block box I’ve had for about a year now. Besides all the little fun props we used, I love the simple ones of his adorable features the best. He had the longest, most beautiful lashes, and such a sweet little face. He truly was a little angel for me. Thank you so much to Mom and Dad for the opportunity to capture “E”‘s newborn pictures, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
What a dream session this was, especially since I was a little nervous about it. Mom called me early this week asking if I had time for a last minute session. She had a 2 week old boy already who was “very alert” she told me. She said she’d be happy to just get a few cute shots, even if his eyes were open. I kept my planning for the session simple and figured we’d just hope for the best. Well what a pleasant surprise this sweet boy was. He slept his whole session and only woke once for a quick feed and then right back to sleep. In fact, I didn’t even get a shot with his beautiful big eyes open!
Meet baby “G”. I got to spend about 5 hours with her in a marathon newborn session. She had very little interest in sleeping, and lots of interest in eating and pooping =) It’s hard work being as adorable as she is, so she has to keep that little belly filled and happy. Luckily between all her feedings she would at least fall into sleep just long enough for me to grab a few shots. Then every time I went to move her for a new pose, she would wake. Sleep, eat, poop, repeat. Thanks to mom who worked just as hard as me. I know we didn’t get quite as many set ups as we had wanted but we still got some great shots, and she even rewarded us with a few smiles.
