Look at these two beauties. “M” & “C” are both celebrating birthdays. “C” just turned 1 and “M” will be turning 4 soon. We took the opportunity to take some pictures to help mark the occasion. The weather wasn’t exactly pleasant, and poor “C” was not feeling well. We made the best of it though. “M” was so great with the bunny. She was quite, and gentle and loving – enough so that the bunny just fell asleep in her lap. She took such good care of it. She also helped try to get smiles out her baby sister. Such sweet girls!
This little boy has been coming to see me since he was in his mommy’s tummy. They are one of my very first clients and I am so thankful to be able to watch their little boy grow up. While his session didn’t go quite as planned, it did go like a typical 18 month old boy session would go. Mom was out of town for the first time so dad and “J” came to see me yesterday. At first I thought the session might be a complete disaster. “J” was not exactly thrilled to see me (thank you 18 month separation anxiety). So I decided to pull out the bunny to get him to come over to me. I was hoping to save the bunny for later so I could get a few regular shots first, but so much for my plan. While he was interested enough to come see the bunny, as soon as we put it down he lost it. Poor little guy, he looked traumatized. So we put bunny back in his cage. That’s when he got REALLY interested. Cages have doors – that open and close and well, 18 month old boys are fascinated by these things. So open and close we did. Again. and Again. and Again. Finally towards the end of the session I thought I’d give it one last shot to see if he wanted to see the bunny – and he did! He even gave the bunny hugs and held him. Success, mostly =) I know it didn’t go how we envisioned, but I still think we did great. It was at least great to get to see you guys again! Happy Easter!
Look at the beautiful baby girl who came to visit me today. Isn’t she just gorgeous. She has the prettiest brown eyes, and boy did she use them. She was making eye contact with me throughout her session. She was more interested in what I was doing and eating, than in sleeping. Something about these March babies – they just don’t want to sleep when they come to visit me. She did give in for about 20 minutes of our 3 hours together and it was just enough time to get some really good shots. Thanks for coming to visit me today mom, dad and grandma. It was nice to meet all of you. Here’s a sneak peek of your baby girl.
Ah sweet baby “S”. He was part of my non-sleeping baby streak the other week. He took the prize that week for not giving in. Not only would he not sleep, but he was upset even when he was awake. We couldn’t even get any family shots. He was just not in the mood for pictures so we decided it’s best to try again. Well I’m glad we did because this time he was in a much more cooperative mood. He didn’t want to be naked, or posed and loved to be snuggled. Hard to take pictures of him if I’m holding him though. Luckily we just worked around it and went for a little bit more of a lifestyle approach just capturing him being him – sweet and adorable. He gave me lots of smiles and eye contact and I so enjoyed getting to see this side of him. While I know we didn’t get to do all the shots mom and I hoped for, I hope she still enjoys what we did get. Such a handsome and strong little guy =) Thank you for being so patient and for coming to see me twice mom and dad. Here’s your long awaited sneak peek.
