Finally – a sleeper! My streak of non-sleeping babies is over! Baby “C” came to visit me and slept like a champ. When I say I LOVED his hair, I mean I really loved it. I kept telling mom over and over. It was just so darn cute. I didn’t want to cover it up! We kept the session pretty simple and added a few fun shots in. “C’s” nursery is nautical theme so we incorporated a few of those shots – but I have to save something for mom’s gallery! I really enjoyed this session and felt back in my groove again with my newborns. Hopefully this is the start of a very sleepy baby streak. Thanks for coming to visit me mom and baby “C”. It was so nice to spend some time with you both!
Baby “L” came to visit me this week. First shot out of the camera was a smiling shot. Great way to start the session, I thought I had it made. She however had other plans. She wasn’t in the mood to sleep at all, but I waited her out and she finally gave in. I think there must be something in the air because my last 3 babies have had no interest in sleeping while here. Luckily we made the most of the time she did fall asleep and got some great shots. Thanks for sharing your sweet baby girl with me!
What a sleeper baby “C” was. She did not make one single peep while she was here. She came in sleeping, and she left sleeping. She only woke once to eat and then went right back down. She is so adorable and just let me pose her and move her around. I wish I could have kept her all day! Thanks mom, dad and grandma for bringing your beautiful baby girl to meet me =)
Baby “V” was in such a hurry to meet her mommy and daddy that she decided to arrive 2 months early! She is so tiny (but growing and gaining each day) and sweet. She is also very vocal and strong willed. She was not in the mood for a photo shoot when she came to see me. She hated to be on her belly and would literally scream when I put her down. So we tried some shots on her back and side. She was ok for a couple of minutes and then decided that she didn’t really care for that either and would like to stay awake and see what is going on. We tried to wait her out and did some family shots in the mean time, but alas she just was not having it. She decided when she was going to come into this world, and apparently she is deciding when she wants her pictures taken. Luckily we did get a few shots in between the waiting today. Thanks for being so patient today mom and dad, and for sharing your beautiful and sweet baby girl with me.
My baby girl turned 5 last week! I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital. We had talked a lot about her birthday since she was turning 5. She decided she didn’t want to have a big party this year so we kept it small. (Little did she know that was fine since we were surprising her with a trip to Disney). She did however want another amazing birthday cake. I think we spoiled her with the awesome Rapunzel cake that my friend Iriene from Artylicious cakes made her last year. If you missed it, you can see that post here – http://www.kristikrusephotography.com/2012/02/15/tangled-up-in-birthday-fun-raleigh-child-photographer/. This year she wanted a Brave cake. I of course contacted Iriene. We didn’t have anything specific in terms of design, so we just gave Iriene complete artistic freedom. I did tell her to not go overboard since it was just us and our neighbors. She of course didn’t disappoint! Olivia LOVED her cake, and so did her sister and her friends. I love to see their expressions when they see it for the first time. They are just as much in awe as I always am when I see Iriene’s work. If you need a cake, you really need to check out her work. Thank you Iriene for another amazing and memorable birthday cake!
