Ah, sweet baby “H”. She was such a dream to work with today. So tiny and precious. I loved my time with her and took advantage of how sleepy and easy she was. I’ve been wanting to do a couple of holiday shots involving buckets, and she was just perfect for them. I love how they turned out and hope mom and dad do as well.
Someone is going to be a big sister! I spent Sunday afternoon with the “G” family. They are expecting a baby boy in the new year and big sister was definitely excited. She was full of personality and gave me her signature smile and pose, such a sweet girl! Mom and dad are into nature and hiking so we met at Yates Mill Park in Raleigh for their session. It provided a great backdrop to capture this exciting time in their lives. Special thanks to Nana for coming to help and keep everyone warm and happy. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I can’t wait to meet your little bundle in January!
Meet Ben and Alex – a super sweet couple who will be getting married next September. While talking about their session and getting to know them they stressed to me how much their adorable dog Riley is part of their family. Of course we had to include her in our session, she is family after all =) We met at Yates Mill Park to get some nature inspired shots since they both enjoy the outdoors. After getting some shots there we then headed to a different location to grab some shots with Riley and get a different feel for the pictures. Both Ben and Alex had told me they aren’t “great” at getting their pictures taken. I told them to practice, practice, practice between now and their wedding – looking at their pictures from last night though you’d never guess it. Beautiful smiles from both of them. Thanks for coming out to meet me yesterday, I had fun getting to know both of you and laugh with you. I wish you both the best of luck in your future – may it be filled with lots of laughter and love!
Meet sweet baby “P” – and pee is what she did on me – a lot, and poop. I think she set a new record! All that aside – look at this beautiful baby girl. The hair, the eyes, those lips – swoon! She is just perfect in every way. We started off our session great. Straight from the car seat to posing perfectly for me. Then we tried to turn her into the very hungry caterpillar (per mom’s request) and she was just not having it. After the 3rd try she woke up and said that’s it, game over. We used the break to go outside and enjoy some unusually warm fall weather and did some family portraits. Then back to the studio where she still did not sleep. After trying to wait her out we decided it’s best to try again another day. So mom and dad came back bright and early the next morning and we knocked out the rest of her session. I think it was worth the return trip, we all had wanted to do some more fun set ups and mission accomplished with the second visit. Enjoy your sneak peek, and that precious baby girl of yours – she is stunning!
We are lucky to call the “T” family friends and to have them in our lives. Their daughter is such a doll and my little ones love playing with her. I of course was thrilled when mom messaged me to talk about Christmas cards and family pictures – Yes please! Any excuse to see this little cutie again. Last time we took pictures this past spring she didn’t want much to do with me, she was too busy exploring and running away from me. This time however she was all about some smiles and poses for me, until she found a big pile of leaves. Good thing we got the shots right off the bat before we found those leaves! Hard for me to compete with jumping and throwing leaves.
