I met “E” & “J” last night for their maternity session. We almost were afraid we’d have to cancel the session due to the storms we had throughout the day. Luckily just before our session the skies cleared and the sun came out to deliver some beautiful evening light for us. Unfortunately the heat and humidity also accompanied the sun. I had a great time getting to know this sweet couple and their little fur baby – Gypsy. Gypsy was great, and very cooperative! I think she enjoyed being incorporated into the pictures. She is in fact part of the family after all. E&J rocked their session tonight, and their pictures show that. You can see the love they have for each other, and the excitement they share for the soon to precious little boy. Thanks for sharing the evening with me, and letting me get to know you both. I can’t wait to meet your little one and capture his newborn photos!
I got to spend a beautiful sunny Sunday with this sweet family. They are expecting a baby boy in just a couple of weeks, making “J” a big brother! When we arrived at the park “J” was sleeping soundly in the car. We took advantage of the time and did some alone shots of mom and beautiful baby bump =) Once “J” woke up we hurried up and took a bunch of adorable shots with him before he could figure out what was going on. As soon as he was wide awake and realized we were at a park, he was ready to play! We took out his ball and off he went, kicking, throwing and chasing it for the rest of the session. He is absolutely adorable and I loved chasing him around capturing him just being a little boy. He has the cutest hair and sweetest little face, and I know he is going to be a great big brother. Thank you so much for coming out and playing with me “L” family. I had so much fun meeting and getting to you, and I can’t wait to meet your precious little one in a couple of weeks. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek – I think we did a pretty good job!
I had the pleasure of meeting the “A” family Friday. We went over to Pullen Park to enjoy some of the beautiful weather we’re having. Big Brother “C” was the perfect little model. He was even helping come up with some poses for him. He had the biggest brown eyes that I could have photographed all day. Little sister “P” on the other hand did not want anything to do with me, like most 18 month olds. What she was interested in was eating. Someone must be going through a growth spurt because she just wanted to eat. I couldn’t compete with her turkey sandwich =) Luckily I managed to steal a few shots in between bites. Thanks for coming out to meet me “D” family, I know it wasn’t an easy session – but I hope it was worth it!
Meet beautiful baby “C”. She’s named after two very special people in her life, her grandmothers. She is one of the most beautiful babies I have seen, and look at that hair. I had so many good things planned for this sweet baby girl, after having mostly boys in the studio the last few weeks. Well little miss “C” threw me a curve ball. She was wide awake for almost her entire session. She wasn’t fussy or upset, just wide awake. She would like there and stare at me, and yawn, and stare some more. She was also very hungry! After a couple of feedings she finally gave in and slept for about 15 minutes for me, until she peed and was up again. Even though I didn’t get to do everything I wanted with her, I still took advantage of our time together and some great shots. I hope mom and dad enjoy them.
Meet baby “L”. He is little brother to big brother “L”. I had the pleasure of meeting this family earlier this spring for their maternity session. I love being able to meet and get to know my clients before their newborn session. It feels like friends coming to visit me, plus I get a feel for what their style is and can personalize their session more. We kept baby “L’s” session pretty simple. We wanted to get some classic shots and some similar shots that big brother had done for his newborn photos. The session went great with both the family shots and the newborn shots. Baby “L” slept like a champ and was so easy to work with. I would have loved to have kept him all day but alas big brother had enough and needed to get home to nap. Thank you so much mom and dad for trusting me with your sweet boys. I loved getting to work with you all!
