Another dose of newborn boy sweetness is here for you! Busy week here at KKP! 3 newborns in one week! Baby “E” was another super sleeper. Two great sessions in a row, I’m feeling spoiled. Mom and Dad brought all kinds of goodies for their session. Apparently mom has a slight Etsy/prop addiction like myself. Between what she brought and what I have we had quite a selection. I saved most of them for their gallery so that they have something to look forward to, but there’s a couple below. I had such a nice day with mom, dad and “E” and getting to know them. Thank you so much for trusting me with your little one. I hope you enjoy your pictures!
Meet sweet baby “C”. He is the cousin of a sweet baby boy I photographed earlier this year. I got to see them both at “C’s” session which was a great surprise. From the moment “C” arrived until I was done his shoot he slept so sound and perfectly for me. I couldn’t have asked for an easier session. We kept most of his session pretty simple and classic, but mom did mention that she wouldn’t mind one “crazy, or different shot”. So of course I couldn’t help but oblige! I’ve been wanting to do the Lorax shoot for quite some time and this was the perfect opportunity! If you missed that earlier post, you can see it here! Thanks for coming to visit me, it was great to meet you and see your family again!

I’ve been waiting to do this shot for a while now. Cassie from Perfectly Sweet Creations made this adorable hat for me. I’ve been working on the Truffala trees and just waiting for the right baby to come along. This handsome little fellow was more than happy to be my little Lorax for the day. Mom and dad told me they wanted at least one shot “a little different, weird or crazy”. I hope this satisfied it.

So you may remember my sweet friend Iriene from Artylicious cakes. If not you can see her post here: http://www.kristikrusephotography.com/2012/04/11/an-afternoon-with-artylicious-cakes-raleigh-photographer/ . She called me the end of May and told me she was asked to enter a cake to be considered in the June issue of Cake Central Magazine. She had quickly whipped up a beautiful “love birds” cake and now needed pictures to submit. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to take the pictures. Not only would I get the chance to have my work published, but I would get to see another one of Iriene’s amazing works of art and to spend some time with her. After the photo shoot I quickly put it in the back of my mind as summer was approaching and I had a lot on the calendar to keep me busy. One late night while editing and catching up on emails I received an email from Iriene saying we were selected and would printed in the June issue of Cake Central Magazine. I so wanted to scream out loud when I read the email, but was not going to risk waiting my sleeping kids. To say I was over the moon excited would be an understatement. I was not only excited because my work was going be published, but so proud and happy for Artylicious cakes. Her work is go impressive and deserves to be seen by everyone – and now it will.
Head on over to Artylicious cakes and congratulate her. While you’re there, check out her amazing work! You can find her on facebook : https://www.facebook.com/pages/Artylicious-Cakes/172283269496404, or on the web at www.artyliciouscakes.com.
To say that this photo shoot did not go as planned is an understatement. You see sweet baby “L” also has an adorable older sister who wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. I mean nothing. Mom and I were hoping for some adorable sibling shots but it was just not going to happen. Instead we focused on precious little sister “L”. This was suppose to be the star of the shoot anyways. Look at those smiles, she had so many to share with us! She was such a cutie pie. We did manage to get a family picture at the end, but I’m saving that one for mom and dad!
