This beautiful family also came to visit this weekend to get some pictures taken. Dad thought he could get out of it by “working on the farm” for the day. I promised mom he won’t get off that easy, we will make him do it again. Maybe once he sees how good looking his family is he’ll make sure to be around next time =). Plus I live down the street so I can help nag him until he gives in. Thanks for all the smiles “C” family, it was great to spend the morning with you
This little princess just celebrated her first birthday. She came to spend some time with me this morning so I could get some pictures of her at this big milestone. She was the sweetest little thing and had the biggest blue eyes. She’s just learning to walk so she led us around the yard exploring and enjoying the weather. Thanks for sharing this special moment with me “S” family!
Meet the “C” family and their adorable boys. We spent this beautiful Saturday morning together. Their yard was the perfect backdrop and they were fun to photograph and spend the morning with. You might not have guessed it during the session, but we caught some great smiles =)
I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon this weekend with Iriene from Artylicious cakes. We met over at the WRAL gardens for a family session which was tons of fun, and then we switched gears and put the spotlight on mom. Remember the post I did on the amazing “Tangled” cake she did for my daughter’s fourth birthday (if not you can check it out here – http://www.kristikrusephotography.com/2012/02/15/tangled-up-in-birthday-fun-raleigh-child-photographer), well now you get to meet the amazing talented woman behind Artylicious cakes. She’s just a sweet as her cakes are, and I’m blown away with her work and details. I find myself at a loss for words other than amazing. I’m so glad that I found her and even more so that I can call her a friend. Here’s an extra large post with showcasing Iriene, who I may just start calling Raleigh’s cake boss!
Make sure to stop by: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Artylicious-Cakes/172283269496404 and artyliciouscakes.com – check her out, leave her some love and enjoy her art!
She’s just as beautiful as her cakes =)
And now for the cakes! Iriene brought two cakes with her to the gardens. Not surprising that a crowd started to quickly gather and admire her work while we were photographing the cakes. Everyone was convinced the flowers on the cakes were real, but they are in fact sugar and 100 percent edible!
Look at these flowers. They look so real. I promise you, they are not. Pure sugar. Amazing detail. I know, I used the word amazing again. I told you, I seriously am at a loss of words to describe these cakes!
And because this sweet lady is not only amazing at making cakes, she’s also an amazing mom. =)
Thank you Iriene for spending the afternoon with me and for sharing your creations with me.
This will be part one of a 2 part session. We’re going to do a feature on mom. You’ll definitely want to stay tuned for that, but for now we’re going to focus on her ADORABLE son. I had the pleasure of spending part of my Saturday with the “W” family. I had so much fun with them. As you can see, sweet “E” was the perfect little model for me. He loved taking us through the garden and sharing that beautiful smile with me. I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter little boy. He’s turning 5 this week and I hope he has an absolutely perfect birthday. I already know he’s going to have an amazing birthday cake, his mom is the talent behind Artylicious cakes!
