I spent my morning with sweet baby Bexley this morning for her 6 month photos. She was her adorable in every way, but just not in the mood to get her pictures taken. We even stopped and tried again later calling in her cousin to help with the smiles. While we got a few smiles out of her, she soon reminded us that she had other plans for today. It was bound to happen since she was absolutely perfect for her newborn and spring session. Although we didn’t get to do all that we had planned, I still think her pictures came out great. Hard not to since she so stinking cute, even when she’s crying =)
I had the honor of photographing this sweet angel. When her mom contacted me to take newborn photos I could already tell how loved this little girl was going to be. They were so excited to have her photos done and that made me excited. Sweet baby “R” was absolutely perfect. Mom and dad are without a doubt blessed. I loved her smiles and her beautiful hair. I loved getting to snuggle with her. Thank you so much to the “R” family for letting me get to know your beautiful baby girl. I’d tell you to enjoy every moment with her, but I know you already are =)
I spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon with this loving family. Mom wanted to get some family pictures done for their sons 3 year and 6 month milestones, as well as some with their grandparents and Uncle. As you can see they are a gorgeous family, and those huge brown eyes boys were absolutely adorable. Big brother made us work for those smiles but looking at the pictures you wouldn’t guess it. It was truly hard to narrow down this sneak peek with such a photogenic family. Thanks for coming out to play with me yesterday. I hope you all had fun and enjoy the memories.
Meet sweet baby Autumn. She met me at the Raleigh rose garden yesterday for her 6 month session. She is now 7 months and quite the over achiever. She can not only sit up, but she is crawling and pulling up. She is ready to go-go-go! The weather was beautiful for our session and roses were in full bloom. Autumn was so quiet and such the perfect little model. It was so nice to meet you all, and the perfect way to start out my weekend!
Wow. I’m not even sure where to start. One of my professional goals for 2012 was to tackle my first set of twins. I knew it was going to be a challenge, but I also knew it was going to be rewarding. Sometimes getting one newborn sleepy and posed for a session is hard work. Two is obviously harder. Twice as many feet and hands to wrangle, twice the poop and pee, and twice the bottles. It was a good thing I had an extra set of hands to help me. A super big thank you to Laddy Kortekaas for coming all the way from Charlotte to help me out!
Sweet baby “P” and “T” are identical twin boys. They were just 4 1/2 pounds when they came to see me. By the far the tiniest babies I’ve had to date. They were so sweet and I was simply amazed by watching how they interact with each other. When one grunts, the other responds. When one moved an arm, the other would move theirs – and this happened a lot. The only thing that wasn’t always the same was that one seemed to always be awake while the other was sleeping! We kept them swaddled for most of their session as it seemed to be the only way to keep them both sleeping at the same time. For my first set of twins, I think I did ok! I learned a lot, and hopefully will be able to put that into practice for my next set. Thanks to mom and big sister “B” for helping with the sweet boys and for trusting me with them. This isn’t the last you will see of them, we’re going to do their family shots in a separate session so stay tuned!
Sweet baby “T” and his smiles! He was full of them for us!

This one describes most of our session – one asleep, one awake =)
