Meet sweet baby “T”. Isn’t he absolutely perfect? I work with his Dad and was thrilled (and honored) when he asked if I would take their newborn pictures. Having known Dad for some time now, I knew little baby “T” was going to arrive in style – and he did not disappoint. Him and his big sister are going to be two of the best dressed kids around. I seem to have a curse where the babies of my friends don’t like to sleep for me. This little guy was no exception. He’d sleep, but only in my arms. As soon as I put him down he would stir and squeal at me. I wasn’t going to give in though. We worked through it and I just moved very slowly to get him into a few poses. In one picture below you’ll see where he woke up and gave me a look like “what are you doing lady”?. That was the only awake shot I got, and it makes me giggle every time I look it.
My neighbor messaged me last week telling me she completely forgot it was school picture day so the kids went to school in whatever they had on that day. She asked if I could come over and take some pictures, a school picture re-do you might say. I of course was more than happy to. It was the quickest and easiest session ever. As you can see her children are ADORABLE, and they love each other. Like seriously. There was hugging, and laughing and I didn’t even ask for any of it. I don’t know how she did it, but I’m going to send my girls over for a lesson in sibling love. I of course know they can’t always be like that, but I still left pretty impressed. Thanks for spending your morning with me “A” family, and for standing the in sopping wet yard =)
I took my girls out for a little photo shoot tonight to enjoy the beautiful spring weather and flowers. You can see we’re making some progress with my younger one as far as pictures. No screaming this time, and she actually looked at me for a couple =)
Here is my overdue sneak peek of the homecoming of Major Macmanus. I had the honor to be there to capture the moment and the memories. I am so thankful that Lindsay asked me to be a part of it. The conditions weren’t ideal, and it was without a doubt my quickest session ever – but it will always be a special one to me. I can’t thank you enough for everything that your family does for our country and so that me and my family can live the life we do.
The conditions weren’t ideal for pictures – it was dark, and raining. I had to use my flash and had no where to bounce it. I think the emotions in these pictures will make up for the fact that they aren’t technically perfect. Thank you again Macmanus family.
My daughter turned four years old this past weekend. I can’t believe she is already four! We took her home from the hospital on Valentine’s day, so this holiday will always be extra special to me. Olivia wanted a Tangled theme because she is all about some princesses, so a Tangled theme she got! We spent the last week or two getting ready for the party. I let her help with the decorations so that we could spend some quality time together. It also helped make the party special since it had our own unique touches to it rather than just store bought items – not to mention is saves a little money! Ok so anyone who has seen Tangled is familiar with the story of Rapunzel, the hair and the tower. Ah, the tower… let’s start with that. Get ready because this is pretty AMAZING….
I was speechless when i saw it. Even pictures don’t do it justice. it was perfect in every way. So where did the magnificent cake come from you ask??
Iriene at www.artyliciouscakes.com. She is amazing. And sweet. You need to call her. Now. Seriously, call her. She is super talented. In our discussions I just mentioned to her that we were having a Tangled party and would some how like to incorporate the tower in it. I thought maybe a simple cake and a small tower somewhere on the cake. I should have known better by looking at her pictures. She incorporated the tower all right. What a beautiful centerpiece it made. Not only was it gorgeous, but it was also delicious! Even my husband was impressed with the cake, and trust me he does not get excited over something like cake. We will definitely be using Iriene again in the future and I am so glad to have gotten the chance to meet and work with her. Not only did I find a great new vendor but I made a new friend as well. Please stop by www.artyliciouscakes.com
or her facebook page –https://www.facebook.com/pages/Artylicious-Cakes/172283269496404 and leave her some love. You won’t be sorry!
To say my daughter was pleased is an understatement. You can see from her smile and her eyes just how much she adored it! We didn’t have the heart to touch the tower. It’s actually still sitting on our counter. It’s too perfect to ruin!
Here are some of the decorations we made for the party. We made hair braid crowns for each of the girls. We also made wishing lanterns and hung them around the house. Instead of streamers we strung yards of yellow yarn as “Tangled” hair. My daughter LOVED it.
I think the party was a huge success. My only problem is how are we going to top this next year???
