Let’s just start by saying I loved this session. I already knew it would be a great session because this is such a sweet family I’ve had the pleasure of photographing and getting to know. Then add a beautiful spring evening and gorgeous light and it was just perfect. Mom and I have been talking about this session for a little while. I knew she was not crazy about typical maternity pictures but still wanted to capture this important time in their lives. So I really wanted to capture some pictures that would not only do that, but that she might actually love. This also really gave me the opportunity to shoot images that I like to shoot, or that I would love for myself. After taking them on a little walk off the beaten path and into a not so pretty looking field, we captured some amazing images. I cannot thank this family enough for not even questioning me but just trusting me. Big sister “AK” was such a trooper. She didn’t complain at all and was her usual happy self. You can tell she is excited about her new baby sister and is going to be so good with her. Thank you “G” family for another great session and for getting me excited about shooting again. I can not wait to meet your new addition!
So bittersweet! I love getting to see my newborns grow up, but that means time is just flying by! I spent a gorgeous Saturday afternoon with “JF” and his parents. They are such a sweet family and I have truly enjoyed getting to know them over the last year. This sweet boy is so stinking cute and has the most amazing blue eyes. He was so relaxed and quiet during out session. I think he was just enjoying the nice weather and maybe wondering what the crazy singing and dancing lady with the camera was all about. Thank you for sharing the past year with me and honoring me with capturing “JF’s” first year milestones.
Look who’s already turning 1! This sweet baby girl! Time has flown by, I feel like we just did her 9 month session and now she is 1. She’s also mobile now, not only walking – but running. Needless to say this photo session wasn’t as easy as she just wanted to go, go, go. She’s still just as happy and smiley. Big sister is growing so fast as well, and looked so beautiful in her Easter finest and beautiful hair.
This little boy has been coming to see me since he was in his mommy’s tummy. They are one of my very first clients and I am so thankful to be able to watch their little boy grow up. While his session didn’t go quite as planned, it did go like a typical 18 month old boy session would go. Mom was out of town for the first time so dad and “J” came to see me yesterday. At first I thought the session might be a complete disaster. “J” was not exactly thrilled to see me (thank you 18 month separation anxiety). So I decided to pull out the bunny to get him to come over to me. I was hoping to save the bunny for later so I could get a few regular shots first, but so much for my plan. While he was interested enough to come see the bunny, as soon as we put it down he lost it. Poor little guy, he looked traumatized. So we put bunny back in his cage. That’s when he got REALLY interested. Cages have doors – that open and close and well, 18 month old boys are fascinated by these things. So open and close we did. Again. and Again. and Again. Finally towards the end of the session I thought I’d give it one last shot to see if he wanted to see the bunny – and he did! He even gave the bunny hugs and held him. Success, mostly =) I know it didn’t go how we envisioned, but I still think we did great. It was at least great to get to see you guys again! Happy Easter!
I spent a beautiful January afternoon with these cuties! Big sister “N” just celebrated her 3rd birthday and “L” is already 9 months old. Time is sure flying by! From the moment I pulled up sweet “N” was full of energy and had lots to tell me about her birthday last week. We laughed, we sang songs, we ran, and climbed and ran some more. The best part for me were all the smiles. The best part for “N” was no doubt the lollipop she got at the end of the session. She literally savored every second of unwrapping it until the first lick. She is growing up so fast and at times it felt like she was 13 vs. 3. Thanks for coming out to see me “G” family, it was a pleasure as always. You have such a beautiful family!
