Giggles and roses… that pretty much summarizes my evening Saturday. I met with our good friends and their little girl “N”. We played hide and seek, tag, and had lots of tickles. “N” was definitely full of smiles, I just had to run to try and catch them. Definitely got a work out in.
My baby girl turned 5 last week! I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital. We had talked a lot about her birthday since she was turning 5. She decided she didn’t want to have a big party this year so we kept it small. (Little did she know that was fine since we were surprising her with a trip to Disney). She did however want another amazing birthday cake. I think we spoiled her with the awesome Rapunzel cake that my friend Iriene from Artylicious cakes made her last year. If you missed it, you can see that post here – http://www.kristikrusephotography.com/2012/02/15/tangled-up-in-birthday-fun-raleigh-child-photographer/. This year she wanted a Brave cake. I of course contacted Iriene. We didn’t have anything specific in terms of design, so we just gave Iriene complete artistic freedom. I did tell her to not go overboard since it was just us and our neighbors. She of course didn’t disappoint! Olivia LOVED her cake, and so did her sister and her friends. I love to see their expressions when they see it for the first time. They are just as much in awe as I always am when I see Iriene’s work. If you need a cake, you really need to check out her work. Thank you Iriene for another amazing and memorable birthday cake!
We are lucky to call the “T” family friends and to have them in our lives. Their daughter is such a doll and my little ones love playing with her. I of course was thrilled when mom messaged me to talk about Christmas cards and family pictures – Yes please! Any excuse to see this little cutie again. Last time we took pictures this past spring she didn’t want much to do with me, she was too busy exploring and running away from me. This time however she was all about some smiles and poses for me, until she found a big pile of leaves. Good thing we got the shots right off the bat before we found those leaves! Hard for me to compete with jumping and throwing leaves.
Look at these little cuties! From the moment I saw them get out of the car, I knew we were going to have a good session. Mom picked out some super cute outfits for them and the girls rocked them! They were so cooperative and great during their session, I had so much fun with them!
I met with lots of beautiful little girls today and the “F” girls were no exception. I think we can all see that little “C” gets some of gorgeous features from her mom, who is simply stunning. I was lucky enough to work with mom for a few years and flattered that she asked me to capture some photos of her precious little girl. I could not stop laughing during this session. “C” was full of personality – running, making faces, dancing and hiding from me. She was definitely a little ham and I enjoyed getting to know her a little better one on one. I think she enjoyed herself too because when it was time to go she actually started to cry. That just means we’ll have to get together again sometime soon and be silly again. Enjoy your sneak peek mom, it was great to see you again and thank you for the laughs and sharing your family with me!
