I had the pleasure of photographing this great family a few weeks ago. I’ve known them for quite some time now, but 2 years ago they moved back to New England. I was sad to see them go, but that is also where I call home so was happy they were able to move back to be close to their family. It had been a while since I’ve seen them. So much so that I almost didn’t recognize their son. He has gotten so big and is all grown up now. I’m so glad they were able to take time out of their busy vacation down here to see me, and more so to have been able to capture some family pictures for them. It was so nice to see you all again!
To say that this photo shoot did not go as planned is an understatement. You see sweet baby “L” also has an adorable older sister who wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. I mean nothing. Mom and I were hoping for some adorable sibling shots but it was just not going to happen. Instead we focused on precious little sister “L”. This was suppose to be the star of the shoot anyways. Look at those smiles, she had so many to share with us! She was such a cutie pie. We did manage to get a family picture at the end, but I’m saving that one for mom and dad!
Meet “C”. Tomorrow is his birthday. Mom and dad wanted to get some 2 year photos of him so we me very early this morning to beat the heat. Unfortunately it was still a bit hot and “C” was a little tired. We had fun exploring and looking for frogs. We got to see some turtles but no frogs. This is a hard age as everything is more exciting and interesting than me with a camera, but “C” seemed to enjoy my company. In fact he even wanted me to hold him most of the time, which unfortunately makes it hard to take his picture that way! Thanks for coming to see me, you were such a sweet boy and I had so much fun with you!
Sweet baby “L” came to visit me yesterday morning. I was working with a sweet mentoree who was down for Virginia for the day and I put out a casting call for a 6 month old to be our “model” for a session. “L” was the perfect model. She greeted us with those big, brown eyes and her beautiful smile. We kept the session really simple as I was teaching and going over camera settings at the same time. Mom and baby “L” were patient and so easy to work with. Thank you so much for coming to visit me, it was so nice to meet you both!
and that’s a wrap….
I spent my morning with sweet baby Bexley this morning for her 6 month photos. She was her adorable in every way, but just not in the mood to get her pictures taken. We even stopped and tried again later calling in her cousin to help with the smiles. While we got a few smiles out of her, she soon reminded us that she had other plans for today. It was bound to happen since she was absolutely perfect for her newborn and spring session. Although we didn’t get to do all that we had planned, I still think her pictures came out great. Hard not to since she so stinking cute, even when she’s crying =)
