I met this adorable couple on a gray/cloudy morning. The sun couldn’t decide if it was going to come out or not, but at least it didn’t rain! They are expecting a precious little boy in the next few weeks so we incorporated a bunch of boy things into our photo shoot. I especially loved the balloon shots we got. We spent the morning walking around getting to know each other, and capturing this moment in their lives. Dad is big into sports, especially golf. You can bet we will have a golf themed shot when we do their newborn pictures. I love getting a chance to really know my clients before their newborn session. This way I can tailor the session to them and truly personalize it. I can’t wait to meet their sweet baby boy! Thank you for coming out to see me “H” family, especially to “P” for walking around on a bad foot all morning – you were a trooper!
I met “E” & “J” last night for their maternity session. We almost were afraid we’d have to cancel the session due to the storms we had throughout the day. Luckily just before our session the skies cleared and the sun came out to deliver some beautiful evening light for us. Unfortunately the heat and humidity also accompanied the sun. I had a great time getting to know this sweet couple and their little fur baby – Gypsy. Gypsy was great, and very cooperative! I think she enjoyed being incorporated into the pictures. She is in fact part of the family after all. E&J rocked their session tonight, and their pictures show that. You can see the love they have for each other, and the excitement they share for the soon to precious little boy. Thanks for sharing the evening with me, and letting me get to know you both. I can’t wait to meet your little one and capture his newborn photos!
I got to spend a beautiful sunny Sunday with this sweet family. They are expecting a baby boy in just a couple of weeks, making “J” a big brother! When we arrived at the park “J” was sleeping soundly in the car. We took advantage of the time and did some alone shots of mom and beautiful baby bump =) Once “J” woke up we hurried up and took a bunch of adorable shots with him before he could figure out what was going on. As soon as he was wide awake and realized we were at a park, he was ready to play! We took out his ball and off he went, kicking, throwing and chasing it for the rest of the session. He is absolutely adorable and I loved chasing him around capturing him just being a little boy. He has the cutest hair and sweetest little face, and I know he is going to be a great big brother. Thank you so much for coming out and playing with me “L” family. I had so much fun meeting and getting to you, and I can’t wait to meet your precious little one in a couple of weeks. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek – I think we did a pretty good job!
I love when a client wants to make their session personal. This sweet couple is the aunt and uncle to a sweet baby newborn I photographed back in January. Mom contacted me about pictures recently and that she would love to do them at their house. They recently purchased a new house and wanted to incorporate that, along with their fur babies into their maternity pictures. We met this past weekend on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and spent the evening in their garden and the baby’s nursery. I love the lifestyle approach of the photos and the personal details that were incorporated. Mom read a childhood favorite. She talked of the hours she’ll spend sitting in her glider watching the birds with their sweet baby boy due this July. Thanks for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to capture this important time in your lives. I can’t wait to meet your new addition this summer =)
I was so excited when this cute couple told me they wanted an urban session. Don’t get me wrong, I love the outdoor nature sessions but there is some neat spots in downtown Raleigh. We met last evening and wandered around downtown Raleigh getting to know each other and capturing this special time in their lives. Unfortunately not too far into the session we tucked back behind some buildings to get some shots and someone actually came and stole my clients cell phone. We had it lying just feet from us so that it wasn’t included in the pictures. As soon as we were done with our shot we went to pick it up and his keys were there and the phone was gone. Talk about ruining the moment for the session. We headed to the police station since we it was on the same street we were shooting on. First time I’ve ever had a session end in the police station! Needless to say we didn’t finish up this session so you’ll get to see more of this sweet couple real soon! Happy Mother’s day. This time next year I hope to see pictures of them snuggling their little girl =)
