Baby “O” came to see me last week. She was 19 days new – my oldest newborn. For a while I thought it was going to be another sleepless session, but once she got a little bit of loving from mom she was out like a light. She was such a good little sleeper and poser for me. I was impressed she did so well for being almost three weeks old. I’m so glad mom contacted me and we were able to squeeze her in. It’s so nice to be able to capture these images since these little ones grow and change so fast. Thank you so much mom and GinGin. It was such a pleasure to get to meet both of you and work with your sweet baby girl. I can see how deeply she is loved.
Ah sweet baby “S”. He was part of my non-sleeping baby streak the other week. He took the prize that week for not giving in. Not only would he not sleep, but he was upset even when he was awake. We couldn’t even get any family shots. He was just not in the mood for pictures so we decided it’s best to try again. Well I’m glad we did because this time he was in a much more cooperative mood. He didn’t want to be naked, or posed and loved to be snuggled. Hard to take pictures of him if I’m holding him though. Luckily we just worked around it and went for a little bit more of a lifestyle approach just capturing him being him – sweet and adorable. He gave me lots of smiles and eye contact and I so enjoyed getting to see this side of him. While I know we didn’t get to do all the shots mom and I hoped for, I hope she still enjoys what we did get. Such a handsome and strong little guy =) Thank you for being so patient and for coming to see me twice mom and dad. Here’s your long awaited sneak peek.
Finally – a sleeper! My streak of non-sleeping babies is over! Baby “C” came to visit me and slept like a champ. When I say I LOVED his hair, I mean I really loved it. I kept telling mom over and over. It was just so darn cute. I didn’t want to cover it up! We kept the session pretty simple and added a few fun shots in. “C’s” nursery is nautical theme so we incorporated a few of those shots – but I have to save something for mom’s gallery! I really enjoyed this session and felt back in my groove again with my newborns. Hopefully this is the start of a very sleepy baby streak. Thanks for coming to visit me mom and baby “C”. It was so nice to spend some time with you both!
Baby “L” came to visit me this week. First shot out of the camera was a smiling shot. Great way to start the session, I thought I had it made. She however had other plans. She wasn’t in the mood to sleep at all, but I waited her out and she finally gave in. I think there must be something in the air because my last 3 babies have had no interest in sleeping while here. Luckily we made the most of the time she did fall asleep and got some great shots. Thanks for sharing your sweet baby girl with me!
I had a great session with big sister and little sister “L”. They both were absolutely adorable and so great to work with. Sibling shots always are a little challenging, but not with this shoot. Big sister rocked this shoot. She was a great listener and truly adores her baby sister, I didn’t have to tell her to smile, or touch the baby – she just naturally did it all – because she is smitten with her and already overflowing with sisterly love. It’s obvious they already have a connection, just check out those smiles! After our family shots I thought we might have to reschedule our newborn shots since baby sister didn’t want to go back to sleep for us. Luckily we waited it out and once she did fall asleep, she was in milk coma. She was so sweet and just slept so soundly. I LOVED her hair, it was so hard to even want to put a hat on her. I didn’t want to cover it up.
Thank you for trusting me with your beautiful girls mom and dad. It was such a pleasure to get to work with you and meet your family.
