I love this family! Not only are they great friends with our family but they are great neighbors as well. I of course was more than happy to capture some updated family photos for them. I wasn’t sure how it would go since the little ones know me so well. I figured they would be more interested in playing and checking things out, but boy they surprised me. They did great! I’ll have to admit the out takes are my favorites, but I’ll save those for mom and dad first and then do a blog post later on. It’s funny to see how kids wear exactly how they are feeling right there on their faces, no hiding it. You can easily see at what point in the shoot they were done with it!
I had the pleasure of meeting the “A” family Friday. We went over to Pullen Park to enjoy some of the beautiful weather we’re having. Big Brother “C” was the perfect little model. He was even helping come up with some poses for him. He had the biggest brown eyes that I could have photographed all day. Little sister “P” on the other hand did not want anything to do with me, like most 18 month olds. What she was interested in was eating. Someone must be going through a growth spurt because she just wanted to eat. I couldn’t compete with her turkey sandwich =) Luckily I managed to steal a few shots in between bites. Thanks for coming out to meet me “D” family, I know it wasn’t an easy session – but I hope it was worth it!
I had the pleasure of photographing this great family a few weeks ago. I’ve known them for quite some time now, but 2 years ago they moved back to New England. I was sad to see them go, but that is also where I call home so was happy they were able to move back to be close to their family. It had been a while since I’ve seen them. So much so that I almost didn’t recognize their son. He has gotten so big and is all grown up now. I’m so glad they were able to take time out of their busy vacation down here to see me, and more so to have been able to capture some family pictures for them. It was so nice to see you all again!
To say that this photo shoot did not go as planned is an understatement. You see sweet baby “L” also has an adorable older sister who wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. I mean nothing. Mom and I were hoping for some adorable sibling shots but it was just not going to happen. Instead we focused on precious little sister “L”. This was suppose to be the star of the shoot anyways. Look at those smiles, she had so many to share with us! She was such a cutie pie. We did manage to get a family picture at the end, but I’m saving that one for mom and dad!
Meet “C”. Tomorrow is his birthday. Mom and dad wanted to get some 2 year photos of him so we me very early this morning to beat the heat. Unfortunately it was still a bit hot and “C” was a little tired. We had fun exploring and looking for frogs. We got to see some turtles but no frogs. This is a hard age as everything is more exciting and interesting than me with a camera, but “C” seemed to enjoy my company. In fact he even wanted me to hold him most of the time, which unfortunately makes it hard to take his picture that way! Thanks for coming to see me, you were such a sweet boy and I had so much fun with you!
