Baby Jacob came to see me this past weekend for his 8 month photos. Mom let me know he was mobile now and a man on the go. Luckily for me it took him a while to get comfortable at the studio and with me so he actually sat pretty still for most of his session. We had planned on doing some studio shots and then headed to the lake to take some outdoor shots but by the time we made the 3 minute car drive down the street, he was out like a light. We tried waking him but he was having no part of it, so we decided we will try again in a 2 weeks for the rest of his shoot. It’s tiring being that cute =)
Giggles and roses… that pretty much summarizes my evening Saturday. I met with our good friends and their little girl “N”. We played hide and seek, tag, and had lots of tickles. “N” was definitely full of smiles, I just had to run to try and catch them. Definitely got a work out in.
I was so excited when mom contacted me to let me know she was expecting, and that she wanted to do a gender reveal shoot. This family was one of my very first clients and they have been with me along my photography journey. Even more importantly I’ve been along with them for their journey into parenthood, and am so honored to be able to watch their family grow again. I’ve been dying to a gender reveal shoot like this, but every time I have one set up someone always ends up peeking. Originally we scheduled this shoot for tomorrow, but the weather did not look very good so we decided to do it tonight because mom didn’t think they could go without peeking if we had to re-schedule until next weekend. I’m so glad we were able to do it. It was so exciting to watch this special moment unfold and see the raw emotion. I can’t explain it but it felt amazing to watch so I can’t imagine what it felt like for them. Judging by their pictures I think it’s safe to say they are ecstatic, and shocked. They both thought it was going to be a boy. I’m so happy for your “P” family, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your family and sharing these moments with me. I can’t wait to meet your baby girl =)
But I don’t want a little sister, I wanted a little brother!!! =)
Look at this sweet thing! Such a precious smile and the cutest voice. I took pictures of my girls at the flower garden this past week and as soon as I saw all the blooms I knew I had to hurry up and get a session with “Z” there – just in time for her 2nd birthday. We were suppose to have her session a few weeks ago but the weather has been so cold this spring that we decided to wait. I’m glad we did, the gardens were beautiful! Little “Z” was full of smiles during her session and had fun running through the garden with my girls. We’re lucky to live near near this great family so we get to see this adorable face often. They’ll be moving soon, so I’ll just have to schedule some photo sessions with them to make sure we get to continue to see them.
Another one of my sweet newborns has just turned one! It seems like time is just flying by lately. Look at this handsome little fellow and his beautiful family. I used to work with his Dad and love the opportunity to get to catch up with him during our photo shoots together. They are such a fun family and I’ve loved getting the opportunity to watch their family grow. We spent a gorgeous Saturday morning down at Yates Mill park to capture this important milestone. This little man has just learned to walk so trying to capture him still was a bit of a challenge, but when I did he was always flashing the biggest, sweetest smile. I could feel myself smiling behind the camera just looking at him. It’s contagious! Of course big sister has a beautiful smile as well, it just took a little while for her to warm up to me. She was a great helper though getting her brother to laugh and help him walk around. She is definitely enjoying being a big sister. Thanks so much for coming to see me “H” family. It was great getting to see you all again and see how big the little ones have gotten. Enjoy your sneak peek!
