Newborn baby Wynn came to visit me just before the holidays. What a sweet boy he was! He cam along with his older brother and sister who were some of the most well behaved siblings I have worked with. They were such good listeners and easily let me pose them. They loved just being able to snuggle on their new baby brother. Mom had really wanted a sibling shot with baby Wynn in a bucket. We had both stressed a little thinking that we might be asking too much for not only a bucket shot, but a bucket shot with 3 and 5 year old. Well they did not disappoint. All three pulled it off with flying colors.
The whole newborn session went just as smooth. Baby Wynn slept the entire time. I never even got a chance to see his eyes. He was deep in dream land letting me go ahead and pose him and move him around. We did several different set ups including a couple holiday shots since he was born close to the holidays. He looked great in all of the sets and colors that we chose. Did you see that head of hair he has? So beautiful, and so much of it. It was hard for to even put a hat on him as I wanted to show off that gorgeous head of hair. Mom said big brother had even more hair than that as a newborn if you can believe it. I of course asked her if she had heart burn during any of her pregnancies and she did not. Seems that is definitely an old wives tale. I had two babies with full heads of hair, and no heartburn for me either.
Thanks for coming to see me “W” family! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.
Happy New Year! Eek! It’s been another six months since I’ve blogged. I have been so bad at keeping up, but that means I have been spending lots of time with family. Fall and the holidays are so busy already that I decided to just let some things go this year and take more time to spend relaxing and enjoying time with family rather than running around stressed with a list of 100 things to do. Unfortunately that means I haven’t posted any of my recent sessions and you haven’t gotten a chance to see all the cute babies I have had the pleasure of capturing. So many adorable babies and lots of family sessions. Fall is one of my favorite times of year because I get to see so many of my previous clients for fall and Christmas card session. It’s so nice to be able to see how much everyone has grown. I’ll try and catch up and show you some of my favorites from the last few months.
First up is this handsome fella who just happens to be the newest member of our neighborhood. Mom brought him to see me when he was just 48 hours old! My youngest baby to date. We did some sibling shots with big brother and some wrapped shots but then once we unwrapped him he wanted nothing to do with pictures. We decided to just have him come back again a few days later – and boy was he amazing that day. We played and played and did so many set ups. I didn’t want to give him back. He was probably one of the best babies I’ve had in years. It was just what I needed to end the year! I am so thankful to all my 2017 clients. I cannot wait to meet all the new babies 2018 will bring me!
Still catching up on blogging and babies over here. Baby Reese came to visit me a while back. I adored her precious little face and that red hair. She had the sweetest little features and was such a good sleeper. We flew through her session like a breeze. She looked so adorable in all the set ups we did that it was incredible hard to pick my favorites. Here are just a few of them below. I can’t thank her parents enough for trusting me with capturing her newborn photos. I truly have the best job in the world.
Baby Belen also came to visit me last month. She was such a beautiful baby with a full head of dark hair. Mom wanted to keep her session pretty simple and neutral so we used a lot of soft whites and a little bit of rose. This let’s baby be truly be the focus of the photos. This was an interesting session to say the least. Baby Belen had quite the “efficient” system. She would feed and then the instant we would lay her down she would poop. We would them pick her up, clean her everything and she would be wide awake. Repeat – Feed, lay her down, poop, wide awake. You get the idea. This went on for almost 5 hours! Mom really, really wanted a shot of naked baby on her wedding dress (which is stunning by the way). The little one however was just not having it. Every time we laid her on it she would instantly wake up and complain. We would try to feed her to get her sleepy again, but then you know what would happen if we just laid her back down. So instead we finally decided to try and swaddle her to get the shot, and it worked! Mom was happy, and so was I. It was a little bit of compromise but the shot still came out beautiful. It also was a great reminder that we are not in charge, baby is – always! This little one is definitely going to grow up to be one strong, independent woman! Congratulations on the newest addition to your family and thank you for trusting me with your sweet girl. I hope you enjoy the Raleigh area!
Baby Asher came to visit me last month. His mom had contacted me a while back and wanted to book the Baby’s first year plan with me so I can capture all of his milestones. Shortly after her sister had also contacted me – (unknown to all of us) for maternity and newborn sessions as well. Not only that but she lives over an hour away and still had found and chose me for her images. Such a coincidence that two sisters ended up randomly picking me to do their sessions. Pretty neat. Also pretty neat that they both were expecting at the same time. The boys will both grow up together and be not only cousins but best friends.
He was such a dream baby to work with. He literally slept the entire time he was here. We flew through his session in record time moving from one pose to another without so much as a peep. By the time his session was done Mom had really wanted and awake shot to see his beautiful eyes. We spent a good 20 minutes trying to get him to get those eyes open and wake up but he was not having it. We were able to capture a quick one while mom was holding him in her hands, but then right back to sleep he went. I guess I shouldn’t complain, I often spend hours trying to get babies to sleep!
It was such a pleasure to get to know and work with this family. They are all so incredibly sweet and appreciative.
