This session left me speechless. It was utter chaos, and hysterical. We pretty much lost all control and the kids ran the show. There was no bargaining, no bribing, no changing their minds. What is was, was real life. I loved seeing their personalities, and when we let them be themselves – the smiles followed. While I love the smiling, happy pictures – I ADORE the out takes!
It was so great to see this family again. Even better this time since little “D” was actually happy to see me. He ran out of the car and came over and gave me a big hug. Quite an improvement from our last session when he wanted nothing to do with me. He is such a cute boy and growing up so fast. He is also going to be a big brother soon.
This cutie pie was not happy to see me for her 1 year session, very similar to her 9 month session. We have had non stop rain so we did her session in the studio the other week. She would have much preferred to just snuggle with her mom. I enlisted the help of my 2 daughters to help distract her and hopefully get a few smiles out of her. We did manage to get a few, and then we figured how to really make her smile. Bring on the cake. She had no problem with that part of the session. She went right for the cake and was a happy camper after that! A girl after my own heart.
Meet the “K” family. I’ve been photographing them for about 3 years now. I always have so much fun with them. Look at these beautiful girls. Dad is clearly going to have his hands full in a few years. We spent Saturday night walking, running, doing the chicken dance and sweating as we captured them and their huge personalities. Such sweet girls and it was so obvious to see how much little “A” looks up to her 2 older sisters. She would barely even look at me when I first got there and by the end of the session she was laughing, dancing, pouting and wanting her picture taken. Thanks for spending part of your weekend with me, it was so good to see you all again.
This little cutie just turned one! I can hardly believe it has already been a year since her newborn photos. We decided to hold her first birthday shoot at the Raleigh Rose Garden since it is in full bloom and gorgeous right now. Little did we know there would be a full play rehearsal also occurring in the garden that evening. It made for some interesting entertainment, and a bit of a distraction for “E”. Luckily we were able to get a few smiles out of her before she was off and running. I loved the outfits mom brought along and her gorgeous cake. “E” however was not very interested in her cake. Mom actually had to even hide a few puffs in there to get her to even touch it. Thank you so much “M” family for coming to see me again.
